A couple of weeks ago my man Fat Fucking Ross, brought up the Black Megaman face thing when he went to go see Mega Ran/Random.
I’ve forgotten so much but back when I used to make chiptune, Ran was on some video game compilation where rappers collaborated with 8bit composers. I forgot if we’ve ever communicated on myspace or not back then.
As far as I know. He’s been using a black megaman version of himself for ages. But being in the 8-bit scene so was I. I’m pretty sure for me it started when my friend Glen made a Megaman sprite of himself and we kept doing it.
I also had a River City Ransom one and one I made from Final Fight.
Anyway, I decided to stick with the power up, cause no one to my knowledge was really using it. And I was reading Scott Pilgrim at the time (Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, David Vs Everything?)
This post isn’t really important or anything. It’s just in case any future fans (non-existent on my half) ever wonder.
I’m pretty sure those of you who used to draw your own Black Spider-Man in colored pencils know the deal.
